Full job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
  • Manage and organize reservations, seating plans, and guest lists.
  • Maintain a high level of hospitality and ensure guest satisfaction from arrival to departure.
  • Answer phone calls, take reservations, and handle inquiries politely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth table turnover.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception/hostess area.
  • Provide accurate waiting times and manage guest expectations.
  • Assist with menu presentation and basic product knowledge.
  • Communicate any special requests or guest concerns to the management or service team.
  • Support daily front-of-house operations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a hostess or in a customer service role (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Ability to remain calm and friendly in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer and reservation system skills.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1–2 years of experience in hospitality, F&B, or customer-facing roles.
  • Knowledge of reservation platforms (OpenTable, SevenRooms, ResDiary, etc.).
  • Experience in a fine-dining or hotel environment is a plus.
