Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Document Controller to support our construction project teams by managing, organizing, and maintaining all project-related documentation. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate document control, proper filing, secure storage, and smooth coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare, organize, and manage documents for projects and business operations.
- Use Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) to upload, scan, verify, and store documents.
- Maintain secure and well-structured filing systems — both digital and physical.
- Retrieve and share documents with project teams, management, and clients when required.
- Create and update document templates, file types, and document databases.
- Ensure all documents are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Track document versions, revisions, and approvals.
- Support other departments in managing documentation workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5+ years of construction phase experience in a similar Document Controller role.
- Strong understanding of EDMS platforms and document control procedures.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
- Strong typing, editing, and formatting skills.
- Ability to follow procedures precisely and maintain document accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with various teams and departments.
