Job Description
We are seeking a professional and decisive Bus Team Leader to join our transportation team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Bus Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating bus operations, ensuring safety and efficiency while motivating and supporting your team members.
- Lead and manage a team of bus drivers, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
- Coordinate daily bus operations, including route assignments and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain accurate records
- Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns
- Implement and monitor driver training programs
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure proper vehicle upkeep
- Analyze route efficiency and suggest improvements
- Handle emergency situations and make quick, informed decisions
- Prepare and submit reports on team performance and operational metrics
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in bus operations or a related field
- Proven leadership experience with excellent team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent time management and organizational capabilities
- In-depth knowledge of bus operations and safety regulations
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with the public transportation industry in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
- Experience in bus fleet management
- Thorough understanding of local safety protocols and regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
