Full job description
The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sanitation systems. The role ensures all plumbing work is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:Installation & Maintenance
· Install new plumbing systems, including pipes, fittings, fixtures, and appliances.
· Repair leaks, blockages, and faulty plumbing systems.
· Maintain water supply systems, drainage networks, and sanitary installations.
· Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure long-term functionality of plumbing systems.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
· Inspect plumbing systems to identify issues or malfunctions.
· Repair or replace damaged pipes, taps, water heaters, and sanitary fixtures.
· Clear blocked drains and sewer lines using appropriate tools.
· Respond promptly to emergency plumbing issues.
Safety & Compliance
· Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and company policies.
· Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment.
· Identify potential hazards and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
Documentation & Reporting
· Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on tasks.
· Report major issues requiring approval or additional resources.
· Assist in estimating labor and material requirements for maintenance tasks.
Coordination
· Coordinate with other maintenance staff and technicians for joint tasks.
· Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, or residents regarding work progress.
Skills & Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Plumber in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
· Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and repair techniques.
· Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
· Physical fitness and ability to perform manual, hands-on work.
· Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Basic knowledge of safety and health regulations.
