Summary

As a Pool and Beach Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and a high level of service in all guest areas. Your focus will be on preparing and maintaining these spaces, ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests, and assisting with their requests to enhance their experience.

Responsibilities

  • Promote teamwork between the Pool and Beach F&B team and the Recreation team to deliver seamless, luxurious service to guests, residents, and members.
  • Adhere to the hotel’s grooming standards to ensure a professional and polished appearance.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the Recreation sub-departments, focusing on service, maintenance, safety, and hygiene.
  • Regularly check the pool and beach areas to ensure they are clean, safe, and ready for guest use.
  • Attend daily Pool & Beach briefings to maintain clear and effective communication within the team.
  • Ensure that only members, hotel guests, or legitimate entries are allowed access to the pool and beach areas.
  • Assist guests and members with towels, umbrellas, sun loungers, and any other requests to ensure a comfortable stay.
  • Follow and adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and the Emergency Action Plan.
  • Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or hazards to management.
  • Ensure all equipment and furniture are clean, well-maintained, and free of hazards. Address any maintenance needs as required.
  • Adhere to all legal and statutory requirements, including fire safety, health regulations, and licensing.
  • Be fully familiar with emergency procedures and your responsibilities in the event of an emergency.
  • Comply with all hotel policies, including those outlined in the employee handbook, and adhere to company disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management to support the effective operation of the department and the broader goals of the property.

Qualifications


Experience

  • Previous experience in a hospitality, pool, or beach-related role is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest requests and complaints in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and sun exposure.
  • Knowledge of pool safety rules and beach etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry items such as lounge chairs, towels, and umbrellas.
  • Basic first-aid knowledge or certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects such as lounge chairs, umbrellas, and supplies.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach while setting up and maintaining the pool and beach area.
