About the job Graphic Designer
Responsibilities:
- Design and create engaging and visually appealing motion graphics for a variety of video deliverables, including promotional materials, infographics, corporate videos, eLearning content, websites, and marketing demos.
- Develop design plans, concepts, and layouts for motion graphics projects.
- Ensure all designs comply with University branding guidelines and professional design standards.
- Edit raw video footage and integrate effects, animations, and visual elements to enhance overall output.
- Produce high-quality motion graphics across multiple platforms, including web and mobile.
- Collaborate with the art and creative teams to clearly understand project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Select appropriate audio, visuals, color palettes, animation styles, and design elements based on project needs.
- Work closely with editors, producers, and team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical or design-related issues.
- Conduct research to identify modern design trends, innovative techniques, and creative solutions to elevate motion graphics.
- Assist in designing and developing storyboards for upcoming projects.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions to share creative perspectives, new ideas, and design enhancements.
- Follow best practices for file management, including naming conventions, version control, and organized storage of graphic assets.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements, tools, and techniques in graphic design and motion graphics.
- Maintain up-to-date records and attend University events as needed.
- Perform clerical tasks related to design projects when required.
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned by the Marketing Manager.
- Attend meetings as necessary and support other related duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience in graphic design and motion graphics creation, preferably within the education or creative industry.
- Proficiency in design and animation tools, such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant software.
- Strong sense of visual aesthetics, color theory, typography, and layout design.
- Ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality content.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest design trends, animation techniques, and industry best practices.
