Job Summary:
The Counter Staff is responsible for greeting customers, taking and processing orders accurately, handling payments, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. They maintain cleanliness and organization at the counter area and support overall restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers politely and take food and beverage orders.
- Process orders accurately through the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Handle cash, card, or digital payments and issue receipts.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the counter and dining area.
- Assist in packaging take-away and delivery orders.
- Provide menu information and suggest items to customers when needed.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally.
- Restock counter supplies and ensure proper inventory levels.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or fast-food outlet preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math and cash-handling ability.
- Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure.
- Team player with good multitasking and time management skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
