Job Summary:
The Account and Finance Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. The role involves preparing financial statements, handling accounts payable and receivable, supporting budgeting activities, and assisting with audits to ensure the company’s financial health and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
- Record daily financial transactions, including journal entries, invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate management reports and provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation (GST, VAT, corporate tax, etc.).
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Support internal audits and implement recommendations.
Financial Operations:
- Process payroll, employee reimbursements, and vendor payments.
- Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash.
- Assist with cost control and financial planning activities.
Other Duties:
- Support the Finance Manager in strategic financial initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of financial data.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or ACCA qualification is an advantage).
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, MYOB) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
