Job Description

  • Prepare and present pastries, desserts, and bakery items according to recipes and standards.
  • Support daily pastry operations and assist in menu development.
  • Decorate and plate desserts with precision and creativity.
  • Monitor ingredient freshness, portion control, and minimize waste.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards (HACCP).
  • Collaborate with other kitchen sections and assist in training junior staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a professional pastry kitchen (hotel, restaurant, or bakery).
  • Solid knowledge of pastry techniques, dessert plating, and chocolate or sugar work.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Team player with good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
