Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Store Keeper with a strong background in handling building materials. The candidate will be responsible for managing, organizing, and controlling inventory to ensure smooth site operations and timely material availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming building materials.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stacking of materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records (manual & digital).
- Issue materials to site supervisors, technicians, and workers as per requirements.
- Coordinate with the purchase department for stock replenishment.
- Monitor material usage and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
- Implement proper safety and housekeeping practices in the store.
- Conduct periodic stock checks and prepare inventory reports.
- Prevent material loss, misuse, or theft through proper control.
- Support project teams by ensuring timely material supply.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Store Keeper in construction/building materials.
- Knowledge of building products (cement, tiles, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
- Familiar with inventory management systems.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic computer skills (Excel, inventory software).
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
