About the Role:
The Sales Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sales data to provide insights that support strategic decision-making. The role involves tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying sales trends, and helping improve overall sales performance and forecasting accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of all sales data and reports.
- Deliver monthly and quarterly sales performance dashboards to management.
- Support the development of sales forecasts, budgets, and target-setting processes.
- Partner with the sales team to evaluate promotions, pricing strategies, and channel performance.
- Provide ad hoc analyses and insights to support decision-making at all organizational levels.
- Maintain strong alignment with Finance and Marketing to ensure consistency in data and reporting.
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze sales data from multiple sources (CRM, ERP, market data, etc.).
- Track and report on key sales KPIs such as volume, revenue, margins, and profitability by product, channel, and region.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and gaps in sales performance to support corrective actions.
- Prepare management presentations and sales performance reports.
Required skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills – Proficient in pivot tables, Power Query, macros, complex formulas, and data modeling.
- Power BI / Data Visualization Tools – Experienced in designing, maintaining, and automating interactive dashboards.
- CRM and ERP Systems – Working knowledge of platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or comparable systems.
- Data Management & Accuracy – Strong understanding of data integrity, cleansing, and validation best practices.
- Analytical & Statistical Tools – Familiarity with data analysis and statistical tools is an advantage.
- Presentation & Reporting – Ability to effectively communicate insights using PowerPoint and data storytelling techniques.
- Experience – 2–4 years of relevant experience in sales analysis, business analytics, or commercial planning.
- Core Skills – Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and high attention to detail.
- Communication – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaboration – Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
