Job Description:
The Finance Executive is responsible for supporting the daily financial operations of the hotel, including accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliation, revenue auditing, and reporting. This role ensures accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with internal controls and statutory regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements, supplier statements, and credit card transactions.
- Monitor revenue postings and conduct night audit checks as required.
- Support month-end closing activities including journal entries and accruals.
- Maintain financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing required documentation and support.
- Coordinate with other departments for timely submission of invoices and supporting documents.
- Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies and relevant local accounting regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor petty cash disbursements and maintain proper records.
- Provide financial data and analysis to support operational decisions.
Desired Skill & Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a finance role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Familiarity with hotel PMS and accounting systems (e.g., Opera, Sun, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
