Commis Chef

Role Overview

We are seeking a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team and contribute to the craft and consistency that define Jospereno.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about culinary excellence, eager to learn, and motivated to grow in a professional, design-led hospitality environment.

As part of our culinary team, you will work closely with our chefs to prepare, organize, and execute dishes that reflect Jospereno’s premium quality and attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and plating of dishes under chef supervision
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Follow proper hygiene, safety, and sanitation procedures at all times
  • Support in ingredient preparation, mise en place, and daily kitchen organization
  • Ensure workstations are clean, organized, and fully stocked
  • Learn and adapt to the use of the Josper charcoal oven, mastering its unique flavor and technique
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely service

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a commis or in a similar kitchen role (preferably in premium or fine dining)
  • Passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn advanced techniques
  • Strong teamwork, discipline, and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and attention to detail
