Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and design specifications for construction and office furniture projects.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, MDF, and laminates for cabinets, partitions, doors, and furniture.
  • Fabricate and install office cabinets, shelves, desks, and storage units on-site.
  • Perform general construction carpentry, including formwork, frames, doors, and windows.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Apply finishing touches such as sanding, polishing, laminating, or staining surfaces.
  • Collaborate with project teams (civil, electrical, interior designers) to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in clean and safe condition.
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and project standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter in construction and furniture/cabinet making.
  • Proficient with woodworking tools, materials, and techniques.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of finishing techniques including laminate, polish, and paint.
  • Physical strength, attention to detail, and precision.
  • Understanding of safety practices and construction site regulations.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in office fit-out, interior furniture, and custom cabinetry.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with both site carpentry and workshop fabrication.
