Project Manager

Role Overview: The core expectation from this critical position is to ensure that all projects are managed using the project delivery methodology and completed with a high level of efficiency, agility, and commitment to the agreed deadlines.

What you’ll do:

  • Direct and manage project starting from award of contract up to its online date (Delivery) and from off-hire date to closing (Return).
  • Define and develop project scope, goals and deliverables in collaboration with all relevant central and area departments/businesses.
  • Understand and apply the standard of the execution of a project as per guidelines from the Project Management Office (PMO). Maintain adherence to processes and procedures for development of efficiency and agility toward project success criteria.
  • Manage project mobilisation and demobilisation, according to the defined complexity.
  • Act as a single point of contact for the life of the project and continually manage project expectations by effectively, timely and clearly communicating project expectations to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Implements and manages all project meetings.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential project issues & crisis and devise mitigation or contingency plans in coordination with relevant department involve.
  • Effectively handover project upon completion and ensure all relevant project information is available & communicated to area operation manager or area operation director.
  • Conduct project post report and create recommendations to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements (Lesson Learned).
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and project department personnel and influence them to take positive actions and accountability for their assigned task.
  • Display a commitment to operational excellence activities.

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / project management
  • At least 7+ years in project management experience in power industry
  • Experience in people management & site operations is essential
  • Strong familiarity with any relevant project management software & tools (MS Project or Primavera6.)
  • Ability to bring projects to successful completion.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects is a must.
  • Ability to motivate, lead and drive for results.
  • Solid technical background – in electrical systems and power would be highly advantageous for the role
  • Action-focused – reliable, committed to completing tasks
  • Excellent communication and influence across all levels internally and externally
