Position Summary:

The Reservations Agent is responsible for managing restaurant bookings and ensuring a smooth reservation process. The role involves handling guest inquiries, updating reservation systems, and coordinating with the restaurant team to maximize table occupancy while maintaining excellent guest service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all incoming reservation requests by phone, email, and online platforms promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain and update the reservation system accurately.
  • Confirm, modify, and cancel bookings when required, ensuring clear communication with guests.
  • Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure smooth seating arrangements and guest flow.
  • Maintain knowledge of restaurant menus, promotions, and special events to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Follow up with guests for special requests or dietary requirements.
  • Manage VIP reservations and ensure personalized service upon arrival.
  • Assist in maintaining guest database and reports for management review.
  • Communicate efficiently with the host/hostess team regarding daily reservations and seating plans.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant preferred.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, ServMe) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
