Position Summary:
The Reservations Agent is responsible for managing restaurant bookings and ensuring a smooth reservation process. The role involves handling guest inquiries, updating reservation systems, and coordinating with the restaurant team to maximize table occupancy while maintaining excellent guest service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all incoming reservation requests by phone, email, and online platforms promptly and professionally.
- Maintain and update the reservation system accurately.
- Confirm, modify, and cancel bookings when required, ensuring clear communication with guests.
- Coordinate with the restaurant team to ensure smooth seating arrangements and guest flow.
- Maintain knowledge of restaurant menus, promotions, and special events to provide accurate information to guests.
- Follow up with guests for special requests or dietary requirements.
- Manage VIP reservations and ensure personalized service upon arrival.
- Assist in maintaining guest database and reports for management review.
- Communicate efficiently with the host/hostess team regarding daily reservations and seating plans.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate when necessary.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role in a fine dining or high-volume restaurant preferred.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in reservation systems (e.g., SevenRooms, OpenTable, ServMe) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
