As a Bartender, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Have an excellent understanding of classic cocktails, their recipes and history.
- Mixes alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to guests’ requests
- Have an understanding of food in general, ingredients and preparations to ensure the right drinks, cocktails and spirit can be recommended.
- Knowledgeable of the preparation of a large number of classic cocktails and all standard long drinks.
- Control stocks, produce efficient costing of cocktails and spirits as well as perform excellent recommendations to guests.
- Collecting beverages from the storeroom
- Cleans bar areas, prepare correct garnishes and mise-en-place
- Maintains bar stock in accordance with established standards
- Ensures security of beverage stock in the bar using key control procedures
- Controls beverage consumption of guests and stops serving when necessary
- Polishes glasses and respects all hygiene rules in serving beverages
- Promote up-selling at all levels and by personal efforts through guests’ contacts
- Ensure a flawless service to the highest standards and as required by the department and the hotel
As a Bartender, we expect from you:
- A hotel & hospitality management diploma or degree is a plus
- Previous experience in a luxury standalone restaurant
- Knowledge of beverages and cocktail recipes
- Be able to develop new recipes based on guest requests
- Good communication skills
