Key Responsibilities
- Manage and control all documentation related to construction and development projects, including drawings, contracts, specifications, submittals, and correspondence.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date document control system (electronic and hard copies).
- Receive, review, log, distribute, and archive all incoming and outgoing project documents in a timely manner.
- Ensure that only the latest approved drawings and documents are circulated to the relevant stakeholders (consultants, contractors, and site teams).
- Track and monitor document revisions, approvals, and distribution.
- Liaise with project managers, architects, engineers, and external parties to ensure smooth document flow and compliance with project timelines.
- Prepare and maintain document transmittals, submittal registers, and RFI logs.
- Ensure all documentation complies with company quality standards and project requirements.
- Support project audits, handover documentation, and close-out reports.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive project information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Document Controller within the construction or real estate development industry.
- Strong understanding of document control procedures specific to construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with document management systems (such as Aconex, SharePoint, or similar).
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent coordination, organizational, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of documents accurately.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).
- Must be based in UAE or willing to relocate to Dubai.
