Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for inspection, maintenance and repair of solar PV systems.
  • Identifies problems and inform the same to maintenance engineer for further corrective action.
  • Responds to emergency call outs.
  • Ensure that all operations and maintenance activities performed at project sites complies with OEM requirements and warranties.
  • Ensures that all the PM activities are carried out as per the yearly maintenance planner schedule.
  • Responsible for all safety aspects at the site, including Safety Walks in the field.
  • Use technical knowledge and experience to optimize site performance.
  • Provides guidance, training and direction to subordinates, including setting individual goals and performance standards.
  • Monitor employees work levels and review work performance.
  • Optimize the utilization of workforce by efficiently allocate the technicians and Helpers as per schedule and within the allocated budget.
  • Prepare list of Spare materials required to carry out the preventive and predictive maintenance effectively.
  • Prepare list of spare materials/machinery required to carry out the cleaning works effectively.
  • Prepare daily reports to reflect work progress and submit to the Maintenance engineer.
  • Periodically maintain inventory of stock and used spare materials.
  • Maintain company tools and equipment’s in excellent condition.
  • Ensure safety regulations are duly followed by the workers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction.
  • All other reasonable duties as assigned by maintenance engineer and/or his designee.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Must have industry recognized vocational/technical training certificate or equivalent.
  • Possessing UAE Valid LMV Driving license (manual) for transporting workers

Experience

  • Must possess minimum 3 years of prior work experience in a supervisory role in Solar plant maintenance activities.
  • Must have knowledge of reading basic solar installation drawings, equipment manuals, electrical circuit diagrams and using testing equipment’s required to perform the work effectively.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Good knowledge and understanding of solar PV technology.
  • Must be able to plan, organize, direct and supervise work within budget requirements.
  • Must be physically fit to work at height under extreme weather conditions and at times perform manually work.
  • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.
  • Must be able to maintain a variety of detailed and accurate records.
  • Must be able to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Must ensure general rules of safety are applied at all times while at work site.
  • Must possess knowledge of using machineries, special tools/testing equipment’s to produce effective results.
  • Must possess ability to read basic solar installation drawings, equipment manuals and electrical circuit diagrams.
  • Maintenance knowledge of hand held cleaning equipment’s, small motor pumps will be added advantage
