As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:

• Operate and maintain laundry equipment including washers, dryers, steamers, and presses.
• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron guest linens, staff uniforms, and other textiles according to fabric type and hotel standards.
• Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage and report any issues to the Laundry Supervisor.
• Use the correct amount of detergents and cleaning agents per load to ensure fabric care and cost control.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times.
• Assist in inventory control of linens, chemicals, and supplies.
• Handle guest laundry, dry cleaning, and pressing requests promptly and with utmost care.
• Follow safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Support other housekeeping and linen room operations as needed.
• Uphold the hotel’s standards of hygiene, safety, and guest service excellence.

Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a hotel or commercial laundry, preferably in a luxury or 5-star property.
• Knowledge of fabric care, stain removal, and garment pressing techniques.
• Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment operation and basic maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Physically fit to handle repetitive tasks, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Professional appearance and grooming.
• High level of integrity and discretion, especially when handling guest garments.
• Positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond in service delivery.
