Job Purpose:
The Housekeeping Staff is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in guest rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and public areas. The goal is to provide guests with a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, ensuring a pleasant stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas according to daily schedules and hotel standards.
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels and toiletries.
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and clean windows.
- Empty trash bins and properly dispose of waste.
- Restock cleaning supplies and room amenities as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or lost items immediately to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety, hygiene, and security procedures.
- Handle guest requests politely and professionally.
- Ensure equipment and cleaning tools are used and stored properly.
- Assist with laundry and deep cleaning tasks when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred (not mandatory).
- Good physical stamina and ability to work on your feet for long hours.
- Attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Basic communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position.
- Rotational shifts (morning/evening).
- May require overtime during busy seasons.
- Uniform and cleaning equipment provided.
Performance Expectations:
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all assigned areas.
- Follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks on time.
- Provide excellent service to guests at all times.
- Report issues promptly to avoid delays or complaints.
