Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Executive to join our building materials shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers, generating sales, maintaining product knowledge, and ensuring excellent service in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist walk-in customers with inquiries and product selection.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable building materials (e.g., cement, steel, tiles, paint, plumbing items, etc.).
- Prepare and issue sales quotations and invoices.
- Follow up with customers to close sales and ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, prices, and promotions.
- Coordinate with the inventory team to check product availability and delivery schedules.
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, and individual clients.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and stocked with relevant materials.
- Report customer feedback and competitor activity to management.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is a plus).
- Proven sales experience, preferably in building materials or hardware.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of construction materials and their applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, billing software, etc.).
- Local language proficiency; English is an advantage.
Work Environment:
- Retail shop setting with regular interaction with customers and suppliers.
- May involve lifting or moving heavy items occasionally.
